The first-generation vacuum cleaner will only be used for cleaning up food, according to a company spokesperson, and it will not be able to kill bacteria.
The company, Vacuum Cleaner Inc., said in a statement Tuesday that it’s making the decision to phase out the vacuum cleaner, which will now be called the Vacuum Master.
“The vacuum cleaner is a new, advanced technology and will only work with the most pure food and personal care products,” the statement read.
“Vacuum Cleaners have proven themselves over the years as the go-to cleaning technology for all food and household items and we are excited to be launching this new product.”
The company said it has also been testing the new vacuum cleaner in the United States, and is working with the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to determine the best way to market the product in the U: the U., Canada and the European Union.
It says the Vacue Master will be available in March.
